A good time was had by all at the September 27th launch party for 120 Days Books, whose Man Eater & Night of the Sadist pairs two politically aware and socially conscious gay, adults-only thrillers that have been out of print for four decades. It's available in both paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon, which also provides generous free samples of each novel.
The next two 120 Days Books releases will be Gay Vampire & Vampire's Kiss, followed by Gay Cruise & Fee Males, whose unfortunate title doesn't do justice to its clever premise and slyly subversive subtext: A niche-market entrepreneur creates a fake classical-Greek Olympic village peopled by cute hustlers in togas, only to have it turn into a humorous dissection of race and class stereotypes: The hustlers (the titular "fee" males) step up to the challenge of really competing in flesh-baring relay races and wrestling matches, while the Mexican laborers hired as handymen and livestock wranglers turn out to be shrewd businessmen brimming with imaginative solutions to problems how you stage a Bacchanal wild enough to satisfy thrill-seeking guests without winding up with a real-life sparagmos on your hands. It would make a terrific musical... really. Kinky Boots, anyone?
